My friend and I had heard a lot about speed dating and when a chance finally came to go to an event we were so excited. The speed dating event was help in San Diego which is about 30 minutes from the town we live in, it is also a really active dating area for singles so we decided that is the speed dating was a dud we would spend the rest of the evening bar hopping. As we drove their we talked about what kind of guy were were hoping to meet, neither one of us really was looking for true love but rather a nice guy to go out with. I had been single for 7 months and my friend for over a year so meeting a nice guy was definitely in order for both of us.

In the end the speed dating was successful for both of us. I met Tony a 24 year old student who lives only 25 minutes away from me and my friend met 2 guys that she has been seeing since. She likes them both so much that she refuses to give up either one, one day she goes out with one and the next day the other. To me that would be a bit too tiring and Tony is perfect. We are still not dating exclusively so I know that he might be dating other girls too but I feel like pretty soon he might begin to see our relationship a bit more seriously and I am willing to be patient until he does.

For now we enjoy each others company and we hang out all the time. We love to go to the beach and walk in the late afternoons, he likes to hold my hand as we walk on the sand and talk. It's nice having a guy to do that stuff to and it's nice to feel the touch of a mans hands again. Now whenever anyone asks about speed dating I tell them that they should totally go for it so maybe they van get as lucky as I did. Even Jenny my friend got lucky and has teased me a few times that she would like to go to another event but I tell her I am happy as I am and don't want to mess up a good thing. If we ever break up of course I would give it another try but for now I am happy.
