It was an awful afternoon. Dark, raining and cold - not a thing to make a person smile. Julie sat, curled up on the couch, with a blanket, some hot tea and her laptop. She was surfing mindlessly and reading some blogs when she noticed a few ads for dating websites down the side of the screen.

She had never given a thought to them before but she knew that her life had become so dull lately. She hadn't been dating, hadn't even been invited out, in the longest time. She found herself wishing that she could meet an exciting man that would pull her out of the drudgery of every day life. She desperately wanted to find someone to inject a little passion into her world.

Still, Julie wasn't sure how to feel about dating websites. She did know a few people that had tried them - some more successfully than others - but she still wondered about the type of men she might meet that way. However, on a boring, dismal Sunday afternoon, dating websites suddenly became a whole lot more appealing.

Clicking on the first of the ads, Julie read through the home page. It seemed to be a decent enough website but there was nothing about it that really grabbed her attention. So, she moved on to the next. At the top of the page, it featured the pictures from the most recently created profiles. There, Julie saw a photo that took her breath away. The fellow's name was Bradley and he was stunning. He had mid-length blond hair and deep blue eyes that just radiated off the screen. Julie was able to click on and read part of his profile. He lived a couple of towns away from her, according to the information he'd supplied. He listed his marital status as divorced.

"Well," she thought, "there is someone that can probably understand what a broken heart feels like." Julie looked over a few more profiles but she kept coming back to Bradley. He was... beautiful. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and she thought it must be a fake photo. However, after a few more minutes, she decided that she was going to join the site. She had to know more about this man. He jumped off the page at her like none of the others. She was drawn to him.

After clicking on the sign-up button, Julie started her profile information with the words, "I don't usually join dating websites but, sometimes, you see someone and you just have to know more about them..." As soon as she got her profile set up, Bradley was going to be the only man she contacted.
