I was having the time of my life in Australia when my best friend, Melanie, in England sent to an invitation to her wedding in six months time. I was on my working holiday. I was in Queensland travelling along the picturesque coastline. Most of all I loved Green Island. I got a job in cafe in Cairns and was working every weekend. That might in the week I could go out touring. Then I got sent another two thousand pounds. It was more money from my Great Aunt Jade's will. I was only allowed to work for one employer for up to three months so I had to leave. I was going on to Darwin but at the last minute I changed my mind and headed back to Sydney.
On the way back to Sydney on the train I went to the club loco car. I met a really lovely man called Martin. He and I began chatting and from that we had lots in common. He invited to to come to stay with him and his three friends that he shared a house with. They lived in a house in a suburb of Brisbane. I agreed and that evening he took me up to a viewpoint. We could see all the lights over the city. He held me in his arms and kissed my lips. We spent two months together and we had a relationship together.
My visa was coming to an end. So I had to book my flight out of Australia. The last day I could leave Australia was 10 January. Martin was so upset and didn't want me to leave. We went up to Cairns to stay with his uncle for Christmas and New Year 1993. Martin and I had got on quite badly and he hurt my feelings. When I got on that plane I still had some love for him but I was glad to be going home.
When I got back home Melanie wanted me to forget about my boyfriend that I had in Australia and to concentrate on london dating. She said that I would find a lovely man in England. I felt cold with the climate. I missed Martin and wondered if London dating was for me. Melanie said I would feel differently about London dating when I had found the man on my dreams.
Melanie took me to a nightclub and met a lovely friend of hers called Anton. He bought me some drinks and we had a dance together to Careless whisper. That night I went back to his flat and we made love together with amazing passion. So it looked like London dating was far better than a holiday romance on the other side of the world. I had the perfect companion for Melanie and Christopher's wedding.
